DENVER (KDVR) — Interstate 70 was closed Monday afternoon after a vehicle fire at the Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnel.Colorado State Patrol alerted the public about the closure just before 1:15 p.m. They said the vehicle fire was on the westbound bore. The passengers involved were reported as "safe," but no further information was given.Westbound I-70 traffic was being diverted onto U.S. 6/Loveland Pass. The left lane was reopened after 4:30 p.m., according to the Colorado Department of Transportation. The right lane remained closed for maintenance. Eastbound traffic was being held at the tunnel, backing up about 3 miles, according to CSP. But eastbound travel had reopened by around 2:15 p.m.No estimate was given for a full reopening.Just how long will the heat last in Denver?

Monday will be a hot one along the Front Range with highs nearing the triple digits and mostly sunny skies in the Denver weather forecast. (KDVR) -- TV host Ty Pennington spent several days in the hospital near Denver after a medical issue while filming in Breckenridge.On Instagram, Pennington said he woke up Tuesday morning and could barely breathe. DENVER (KDVR) -- Lakewood police are searching for a suspect or suspects in connection to a double shooting Saturday night.Just before 8:30 p.m., the Lakewood Police Department said agents responded to a shooting at the Villa at Wadsworth Station apartment complex at 1330 Yukon St. 2 killed in rollover crash on I-225 in Aurora Lakewood PD said two victims were found with gunshot wounds and taken to the hospital.
