Published Fri, 21 Feb 2025 21:25:05 GMT

Stillwater native Ben Warian is in a great position to contend after the first round of the NCAA Bath Regional men’s golf tournament. The Gophers junior shot a 4-under 67 on Monday at Eagle Eye Golf Club in Bath, Mich. That leaves the Hill-Murray grad in a tie for fifth overall with two rounds to play. Georgia’s Ben Van Wyk leads the tournament after shooting a first-round 65.More importantly from Warian’s perspective, he’s currently tied for the one-and-only individual qualifier spot. The top finisher on a non-advancing team qualifies for the NCAA Championships. That qualifier spot will be in flux throughout the tournament, as not only individual scores change, but so do the teams advancing.Warian, who entered the week ranked 131st by GolfStat, played bogey-free golf through his first 16 holes of the day before recording a four on the par-3, 17th. But Warian bounced back by closing his round with a birdie on the par-5 18th. He’ll tee off to open his sec...

ST. LOUIS - In a new court filing, the Missouri Attorney General claims St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner was at nursing school while she supposed to be attending a contempt of court hearing. On May 4, Gardner announced she would be stepping down from her role as the city's chief prosecutor, effective June 1.Gardner had faced legal battles on numerous fronts via Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey’s drive to remove her from office and indirect criminal contempt cases, and a dwindling roster of prosecutors in her office due to resignations. It’s a situation at least one St. Louis judge dubbed a “rudderless ship of chaos.”The day before the announcement, FOX 2 learned Gardner had enrolled in nursing courses at Saint Louis University to obtain an advanced nursing degree. LeBron James on Denver Nuggets entering Western Conference Finals bubble rematch: “They’re better, but they were great then.”

What the Joker claims he can’t recall, the King refuses to overlook. The last time the Nuggets and Lakers met in the Western Conference Finals, they were quarantined at Disney World and LeBron James was hellbent on bringing a championship banner back to Disney Land for the first time in a decade. Los Angeles advanced in five games, then won the title.“To be honest, I don’t remember,” Nikola Jokic said when asked what he learned from the experience. What James remembers isn’t the number of games the series lasted, but rather the margin for error. He remembers a series in which no game was decided by more than 12 points, one in which the only reason L.A. didn’t trail 2-1 was an Anthony Davis buzzer beater.“They’re better (than they were), but they were great then,” James said Monday, politely protesting questions about how different Denver is now vs. then. “And they’re great now. Joker has got two more years under his bel...

It shows a large black bear approach the cabin's front door, stand up on its hind legs and look around. At one point, the bear appears to stare right at the camera. The video was shared with KTLA by Ring, the popular brand of security doorbell cameras. The owner of the cabin told Ring that the bear stopped by the cabin around 2:45 a.m., and while bears have been known to roam around the neighborhood, one has never gotten that close to the cabin before."Upon viewing, we were in disbelief," said Cesar, the owner of the cabin. "This was a very big bear. We want to share the video to bring awareness to the local community and tourists that bears do roam the area. This awareness will minimize potential danger for both people and wildlife/bears." Black bear living ...
